The Yoon Suk Yeol government in South Korea has the plan to resume the U.S.-South Korea joint military exercise on a full-scale in this summer. On July 22, the Minister of National Defense, Lee Jong Sup, through the report of the national defense task, announced the normalization of U.S.- South Korea military exercises which were cancelled and postponed or were reduced and adjusted under the Moon Jae In government. Especially, the field maneuvers exercise on a regimental level or higher including the U.S.-South Korea combined amphbious operations and joint exercises of carrier striking group will re-conduct. Instead of the Combined Command Post Training (CCPT), conducted without practical training during the Moon Jae In regime, Ulchi Freedom Shield(UFS) is its changed name and is the revival of Ulchi Freedom Guardian(UFG).

The U.S.-South Korea joint military exercise on a large-scale is the extremely dangerous nuclear war exercise to invade North Korea, which calls the real war. The revival of UFG, which merely changed its name, is a heinous act of war that invalidates the North Korea-U.S. joint statement and Pyongyang joint declaration and military agreement agreed in 2018. No matter how much they claim that the U.S.-South Korea joint military exercises are the defence purposes, the essence is the war of the invasion of North Korea War exercise is revealed through the fact that the exercise is conducted according to “Operation Plan 5015,” which includes the pre-emptive nuclear strike against North Korea. The Yoon Suk Yeol regime spreads “the rumor on 7th nuclear test of North Korea,” considers North Korea as the main enemy, carries out the joint nuclear war exercise against North Korea in the ground, sea and air around the Korean peninsula allying with U.S. and Japan, and joins the U.S.-centered multi-national joint war exercise. It’s held violently the nuclear aggressive maneuvers against North Korea than any other regime.

The basic factor of acceleration of war crisis is the fact that the U.S. imperialist aggressors are on the back of Yoon Suk Yeol regime. Recently the U.S. imperialist aggressors carried out the U.S.-South Korea and U.S.-Japan joint military exercises in the airspace of East Sea. It badly provoked North Korea. Even the B-2 bomber was deployed in 2 years, it increased the military tension in the region to the highest point. The multi-national joint military exercises in Indo-Pacific region seriously threaten North Korea and China. These war maneuvers are even more dangerous due to their clear intention to hold the wars in South Korea and Taiwan following the Ukraine war. The resumption of U.S.-South Korea joint military exercise is blatant resumption of nuclear war exercise against North Korea. It is a clear sign that the proxy war, which the U.S. is conducting in Ukraine, could be held in South Korea.
